Christie Paul, Soprano, holds a Bachelor of Arts in classical voice performance and resides in Gorham, Maine. Ms. Paul has participated in the Classical NATS singing competition, winning First Place in Division VI in 2019, Second Place in Division VI in 2018, and in 2017, she placed 3rd at the state level and 1st place at the regional level. In June 2018, Ms. Paul received Honorable Mention at the Maine Rossini Club Scholarship competition. Also in June 2018, she participated in the Continuo Arts Foundation's Minuetto Music Festival, receiving their Rising Star Award.
Ms. Paul originated the role of Mother in the world premiere of Girl in Six Beats by Daniel Sonenberg, at the University of Southern Maine. She also performed in the 2019 and 2017 Honors Recitals at USM, as one of a select number of students, chosen by audition. Ms. Paul was a member, section leader, and President of the USM Chamber Singers, who recently sang at the Inaugural Celebration of Governor Janet Mills and participated in the Interkultur International Choir Competition in Hoi An, Vietnam in May 2019.
Ms. Paul has done years of musical theater. Shows include The Wizard of Oz, Hairspray, Crazy for You, The Pajama Game, Urinetown, and You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown.
