Samantha Loomis

Originally from Warren, OH, Samantha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Ohio Northern University.  During her time at ONU, she was actively involved in Opera Workshop, Jazz Combo, University Singers and Chamber Singers, and she also performed in numerous dance and musical theatre shows, including those with the African Dance and Drumming Ensemble, where she was both a dancer and assistant teacher.  Samantha has also had the opportunity to sing in multiple choral tours with the ONU University Singers both to the United Kingdom and on a 43 day tour around the United States.

She is currently a full time graduate student at the University of Southern Maine where she is studying to receive her Master of Music degree in Voice Pedagogy.  She has most recently assistant directed the USM Opera Workshop and is a member of the USM Chamber Singers.  Samantha focuses most on vocal health, emphasizing proper technique, in order to ensure a long lasting instrument, but also focuses on sight singing and building musicianship.
